OATSystems Announces Promotion of Peg Kastner to VP, Professional Services and Support

Fills Critical Role as Company’s Customer Base Expands to More Than 100 Customers

WALTHAM, Mass. Nov. 28, 2007OATSystems today announced the promotion of Peg Kastner to vice president, professional services and support, effective immediately. In her new role, Kastner will continue to report to Michael George, OATSystems’ chief executive officer, and will be responsible for leading the company’s professional services team in implementing solutions to address customer needs.

“Peg has developed and leads a world-class professional services team,” commented George. “They are the knowledgeable, trusted advisors to our customers, so it’s critical that they bring value in every interaction and in making our customers successful at every step. Peg has brought an already talented team to a new level in exceeding our customers’ and the market’s expectations in every way.”

Kastner joined OATSystems in 2006 as senior director, client services. Since her arrival, the company’s services group has implemented several award-winning RFID solutions for its customers, including Tesco, Target, CVS, Hewlett-Packard and Kimberly-Clark. With the increasing demand the company is experiencing, particularly from industrial manufacturers seeking the company’s Asset Tracking solutions, OAT’s professional services group is playing an increasingly important role in the company’s success. The company’s customer base now exceeds 100 and the total number of site deployments now well exceeds 200. Both of these figures are expected to escalate significantly in 2008.

“This elevation in Peg’s role and responsibilities reflects the company’s growth as well as the emphasis we place on ensuring our customers’ success with business-driven RFID deployments,” added George. “Combined with our proven solutions and a Services-Oriented Architecture, Peg’s team enables our customers to RFID-enable existing processes and applications in less time, with less risk and at a lower cost.”

Prior to joining OATSystems, Kastner was responsible for service planning at Kronos, the leading provider of workforce management solutions, where she developed and executed plans to expand the service organization into new products and services, and improved the overall efficiency, effectiveness and expertise of the group. She also led the professional services organizations at TempoSoft and Interlynx Technologies, and previously held various technical and management positions with CGI Information Systems and Management Consultants. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Vermont and a master’s degree in business administration from Babson College.
